Spinal Curve Correction: How To Do Spinal Curve Correction WITHOUT Surgery

Question: Does the average normal human baby require surgery to create their spinal curves?
Answer: Of course not.
Well, let’s see how babies develop their Cervical and Lumbar curves, and maybe that can show us something about how the spine is shaped...without surgical intervention.
So, how do babies get their spinal curves?
When born, a normal infant spine is “C” shaped. Meaning, the Cervical (neck) and Lumbar (low back) curves are not there.
The Cervical curve begins to develop with “tummy time”, when a baby is placed on their stomach on the floor, and engages their back and neck muscules looking upward at the world around them. This creates the pattern for the Cervical curve, and begins to mould the spine’s cervical curve.
The next phase is when baby begins to creep and crawl. Engagement of the core and lower extremities begins to shape the lumbar curve.
And that’s how a “C” shaped spine becomes a normal “S” shaped spine, complete with Cervical and Lumbar curves. That “S” shaped spine is an incredible apparatus, allowing a human to walk upright, run, move in almost any direction, bend down, jump up, etc etc.
Question: What is the shape of your spine when you sit, hunched over, at a desk all day? And then go home, and sit on a couch? And in between, spends time staring down at their phone?
Answer: “C” shaped!
So after baby works so hard to develop their beautiful “S” shaped spine, they are thrust into a work environment which attempts to hammer their spine back into a “C” shape. And over time, that’s exactly what happens.
And that’s how we get people who have "hunchback".
So there are a couple of lessons we can learn from this:
And that’s exactly what we do to restore curves. We call it “Curve Correction”, and with our protocol we have been able to help thousands of people in our communities who, had they not sought a natural solution, may have ended up in a surgery. In many cases it involves Spinal Decompression, Class IV Laser Treatment, and Chiropractic Adjustments, and may include other therapies depending on the specific case.
The cool thing is that in many cases, we don’t need to completely change the shape of a spine to get someone out of the realm of debilitating pain and into a place where they feel good. Rib cage placement, head placement (especially forward head placement), and the spine itself all go into the mix, and working with those variables we have been able to take someone with debilitating back pain or chronic migraines, and move them to a place where they feel “normal again”.

So there are a couple of lessons we can learn from this:
- The spine is not “static”. You can start with a “C”, mold it into an “S”, and even mold it back into a “C”.
- The way you mold it is with exercise, posture, pressure, time, and repetition.
And that’s exactly what we do to restore curves. We call it “Curve Correction”, and with our protocol we have been able to help thousands of people in our communities who, had they not sought a natural solution, may have ended up in a surgery. TAKEAWAY: The spine is not "static" - it is moldable, and shapable.
